Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible for your data

AIVORA L.L.C-FZ, operating as Povellea, is the controller of personal data collected through www.povellea.ae. Contact us about anything in this policy at Team@povellea.ae. Business details are in our Legal Notice.

2. What we collect

  • When you order: your name, delivery address, email address, phone number, order details, and the delivery access information you give us.
  • When you contact us or book a consultation: the details you submit by email, over WhatsApp, or through the booking tool on our contact page.
  • When you browse: a first-party analytics identifier and session identifier set by our store platform, plus standard technical information such as your IP address, device type and browser.

We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Card data is handled by the payment provider at checkout.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis

  • Taking, fulfilling and delivering your order; warranty and after-sales service: performance of your contract.
  • Answering an enquiry before you buy: steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
  • Issuing your invoice and keeping tax records: legal obligation.
  • Handling complaints and keeping consumer records: legal obligation, and performance of your contract where applicable.
  • Keeping the site secure and preventing fraud: our legal and security obligations, limited to the processing necessary for that purpose.
  • Understanding how the site is used: consent, where consent is required.
  • Sending marketing: your explicit opt-in consent.
  • Establishing or defending legal claims: where applicable.

4. Who we share it with

  • Shopify, which hosts and operates our online store, our customer accounts and our checkout, and provides our store analytics.
  • Google, which provides the appointment-booking tool embedded on our contact page. It is a scheduling tool, not an advertising service. If you book a consultation, the details you enter go to Google.
  • hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.), which protects our forms against automated abuse. It is a security tool, not an advertising service.
  • Apps we use to run the store, including our forms tool and a bundle-pricing app used to build package orders.
  • Our payment provider, which processes your payment at checkout.
  • Our delivery and installation team and carriers, who receive only what they need to deliver and install your order.
  • Our production provider, where your order specification must be passed on to make your furniture. This does not include your payment details.
  • Authorities or advisers, where we are legally required to disclose.

We do not sell your personal data.

Our store platform stores data in the United States, and some providers above operate outside the UAE, so your data may be transferred abroad and processed there.

Our store platform also uses store data, in combination with data from other merchants on the same platform, to improve its products, personalisation and advertising services, as described in its own terms. No other merchant can see your data.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

These are the technologies used on our store:

  • cart_currency — strictly necessary — remembers the currency for your cart.
  • localization — strictly necessary — remembers your chosen language and region.
  • _shopify_y, _shopify_s — analytics — visitor and session identifiers used to measure how the store is used.
  • signInWithShop, _shs_state — functional — support Shop Pay and Sign in with Shop.
  • hCaptcha storage — security — set when hCaptcha protects a form.
  • Booking tool storage — functional — set by Google when you use the booking tool on our contact page.

We do not use advertising, retargeting or audience-building technologies on this website. We run no advertising pixel and no remarketing tool, and we do not build advertising audiences from your visit.

Your choices. We do not currently display a cookie consent banner, because our store platform's regional assessment does not require one for the countries we sell in. We keep the set of technologies above deliberately small, and we do not run advertising trackers. If you would prefer us not to use the analytics identifiers described above, email Team@povellea.ae and we will act on your request, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If we later introduce technologies that require consent, we will ask for it before they run and we will update this policy.

6. Marketing

We send marketing only to people who have opted in, and every marketing message contains a one-click unsubscribe. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing Team@povellea.ae.

Our checkout and account sign-up show a marketing checkbox. In some countries, including the United Arab Emirates, our store platform presents that checkbox already ticked by regional default. Please untick it if you do not want marketing. You can also tell us at any time and we will remove you, and unsubscribing always works regardless of how you were added.

7. How long we keep it

  • Order, invoice and tax records: for the period required by UAE tax and commercial law.
  • Warranty and after-sales records: for the warranty period and a reasonable period afterwards, so we can handle later claims.
  • Enquiry and complaint correspondence: for as long as needed to deal with the matter and any follow-up.
  • Marketing consent records: until you withdraw consent, and then a record of the withdrawal.

When we no longer need your data for any of these purposes, we delete it or anonymise it.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, provide it in a portable form, or withdraw a consent you gave us. Write to Team@povellea.ae and we will respond within the period required by law.

These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions provided by applicable law. In particular, we cannot delete records we are required to keep for your order, our tax and accounting obligations, your warranty, a complaint, or the establishment or defence of a legal claim.

You may also complain to the UAE Data Office.

9. Security and changes

We use the security measures provided by our store platform and restrict access to order data to the people who need it. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure. We will publish any update to this policy on this page.
